I've done a little modest travelling in my time (and i'm still hoping to be doing more of it in the near future). nowhere fancy or famous, like gay paris or the swiss alps... just places i've been fortunate enough to visit, mostly in the course of my work or the hubby's. since i'm not one to keep an updated album or journal, record of the travels would probably just fade with time (and my fading memory is testament to that lol).
Now lets see.... starting from our nearest neighbours:
- Singapore (in fact mak was supposed to have delivered me at Kandang Kerbau hospital way back when).
- Thailand (Narathiwat, Haadyai, Bangkok - the 'across river' excursions into golok dont count lol).
- Brunei (Bandar Seri Bengawan)
- Philippines (Manila)
- Saudi Arabia (Mekah, Madinah, Riyadh).
- Japan (Yokohama, Tokyo).
- Australia (Melbourne, Ballarat, Philip Island, Geelong, Queenscliff, Falls Creek, Manly, Canberra, Sydney).
- US, eastern (Boston, Portland, New York City, Washington, Pittsburgh, Niagara/American Falls, Athens, Ann Arbor, Detroit, Chicago)
- US, west coast (LA, Disneyland/Anaheim, Houston, San Antonia)
- Canada (Quebec, Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Niagara Falls).
Most of the earlier travels were done either before the kids were born or when they were still too young to remember. and since the 3 kiddos are spread out rather far apart (about 3 years of each other) at one time or other somebody was still a baby. its especially frustrating for AH being the baby of the family lol ... "mana sya ingat !!!" is a frequent lament. so with this blog i hope to make bits and pieces of the past available for them.
At the very least to reassure them that some parts of it wasnt just a dream :)
It was very unfortunate that the kids & i couldnt tag along when Abe was in Holland & Italy. we havent as yet had the opportunity to explore Europe or the UK since stopovers at DeGaulle & Heathrow certainly dont count lol. would be interesting to go poking about the old european cities like Rome or Milan with the kids in tow... AI for one would surely pee in his pants lol - he's a fan of rowlings, anne rice, dan brown and so into everything dark, mystical, gothic (AF & AH, they'd rather be in the land of the setting sun eating shushi & shishamo to their hearts content lol).
Insyaallah, kalau ada rezeki tak kemana :)
